Government of the people, by the people, for the people
- Abraham Lincoln, first Republican President
Good government and political parties depend on informed people willing to
be involved. THAT MEANS ALL OF US have a responsibility not just to vote, but
to pick and recruit respected leaders and help them get elected to public
office. We need to support them and hold them accountable once in office.
As Americans, we possess inalienable rights that cannot be voted away by the
majority or taken away by government, unless we allow it to happen.
As Benjamin Franklin left the Constitutional Convention in 1787,
a lady asked, “Sir, what have you given us?” Franklin replied “A Republic,
Ma’am, if you can keep it.” Today, most Americans have never worked on
or donated to a political campaign and have forgotten ward and town
committees are the basic building block of political parties.
Western Mass Republicans is a political action committee, made up of your
friends, neighbors and concerned citizens supporting Republican candidates
and activities. WMR brings together volunteers and resources to run
successful campaigns. We support lower taxes, limited and fiscally responsible
government with local control that protects the US Constitution and individual
liberty and freedom. CONTACT WMR TODAY. GET INVOLVED
